  11. I am trying to help a friend at work who is trying to dial into our computer 
  12. system at work - to access the computer at work, one must dial a Leehmah 
  13. security device, punch in a code, and the security device calls you back ....
  14.  
  15. The problem ... this guy purchased a Packard Bell Force 448CDT and the 
  16. procedure works until the security device dials him back - he sees a RING on the
  17. computer screen - tries to type ATDT* to get the telephone to answer to call 
  18. and the response from the modem is:  NO CARRIER
  19.  
  20. The typical respopnse to the command is the modem taking the phone off the hook 
  21. and issueing the tone equivalent to the * key on the telephone
  22.
