- I am trying to help a friend at work who is trying to dial into our computer
- system at work - to access the computer at work, one must dial a Leehmah
- security device, punch in a code, and the security device calls you back ....
-
- The problem ... this guy purchased a Packard Bell Force 448CDT and the
- procedure works until the security device dials him back - he sees a RING on the
- computer screen - tries to type ATDT* to get the telephone to answer to call
- and the response from the modem is: NO CARRIER
-
- The typical respopnse to the command is the modem taking the phone off the hook
- and issueing the tone equivalent to the * key on the telephone
-
- ANY and all help is appreciated
-
- thanks
